91 miles done – blisters and sore feet are kicking in but they’re still smiling! Great send off from Phil and Shellie at the Four Lords pub. Fantastic support – huge thank you, really appreciated.

Even with the outstanding support being received from Cornwall, the focus and main reason behind this mammoth challenge is never too far from our thoughts. A concerned call comes in about a Veteran “living” in a tent in a field.

As a mum I’ve found this case partially hard as the young Veteran is only 22yrs old- not much older than my eldest son! A Veterans Wife……
I’m a veteran wife – like many of us I’m a mum, wife, carer, pa, taxi, therapist – a superwoman who’s expected to “stay strong, keep smiling and keep things together” I’m one of many who with a plastered smile tries to juggle everything – I’m young , not prepared fully for married life with someone who’s former self is crumbling away, I’m one of many mums who mourn a “normal” picture perfect family life –to go out and enjoy ourselves amongst families -we don’t do any of these things as they trigger my husband and my child’s dad -we can’t go into crowds , strange places -we have to plan ahead any visit to an empty spot in the park ,or a simple visit to a doctor.

We sadly say goodbye to Veteran Jamie Streets as he’s back to work tomorrow. Outstanding achievement walking 91 miles from Lands End to Liskard! Thank you so much – you will be missed!
Food tonight has been kindly donated by Becky and her team at The Highway Man.
Huge thank you.
